Bejing, 6 February 2022 (TDI): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi inaugurated a portal to facilitate the Pakistani students and professionals on Sunday.

During the launching ceremony, the Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Moeen-ul-Haque, also accompanied the foreign minister.

Qureshi, on the occasion, said that the portal would enhance the technical linkage between the Pakistani students and the Chinese experts and serve as a vital platform between them.

The portal would provide support with regard to the latest innovative research and inventions, Qureshi said, adding that the portal would also highlight the contributions of Pakistani students and professionals in the relevant fields.

The year 2021 marks an important milestone in the diplomatic history of Pakistan and China. Over the course of seven decades, fraternal ties between our two countries have evolved into an ‘all-weather strategic cooperative partnership’ thereby setting a new model for modern inter-state relations.

It is encouraged that the visitors take a glimpse of the portal-a space filled with research innovations, artistic explorations, and community celebrations.

The year 2022 would provide new vigor and vitality to our bilateral ties which would not only serve the best interests of our two countries but also ensure peace, stability, and prosperity for the entire region.  This is a commitment made by both Pakistan and China that this year and in the years to come to make this world a better place for our next generations.

To celebrate seven decades of our unique friendship, Pakistan and China have planned a constellation of events that would be held throughout the year in the two countries.

These include bilateral visits, signing of MoUs, talk shows, exhibitions, trade and investment seminars, food festivals, media interactions, friendship city ties, and publications.

These festivities would not only give us a chance to celebrate our past achievements but also chart a new path to elevate our future ties to a new pedestal of bilateral cooperation.
