PM Shehbaz Heads to Saudi Arabia to Boost Ties

Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to depart on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia today along with a senior-level delegation.

The trip comes at a time of religious significance in the kingdom, as Muslims gather for Hajj and prepare to celebrate Eid ul Adha.

According to the Foreign Office, the prime minister is expected to hold a crucial meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman.

Their discussions will center on enhancing cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, regional security, and the broader interests of the Muslim world.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is also expected to personally thank the Saudi leadership for its role in easing tensions during the recent escalation between Pakistan and India.

The visit aims to strengthen long-standing ties and broaden the scope of future collaboration between the two countries.

The relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia rests on the firm foundation of mutual religious values and respect for each other, backed by almost half a century of strategic collaboration.
