PM Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Pak-China Partnership

Beijing (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday reiterated Pakistan’s determination to expand its partnership with China across multiple sectors, during a meeting with Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng.

The Prime Minister underlined Pakistan’s vision of deepening cooperation in industry, agriculture, trade, information technology, mining, and minerals.

He described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as the cornerstone of Pakistan’s socio-economic development and expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of its second phase.

Minister Li, while commending the Prime Minister’s economic reform agenda, said China considers Pakistan an “ironclad brother” and an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partner.

He reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to raising bilateral relations to new levels of cooperation and collaboration.

As Phase-II of CPEC gains momentum, both sides are focusing on industrial cooperation zones, technology transfer, and greater private sector participation.

Officials noted that these initiatives would not only boost trade but also generate employment and drive inclusive growth in Pakistan.
