Islamabad, 18 August 2021 (TDI): The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had a telephonic conversation with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and discussed the ongoing situation in Afghanistan.

Imran Khan shared the perspective of Pakistan in which he emphasized the importance of providing safety and security along with protection to all the Afghans. He mentioned that an inclusive political settlement is the only way forward. The Prime minister also talked about Pakistan’s role in helping the removal of diplomatic personnel and staff of international organizations from Afghanistan as this was requested.

Today the Prime Minister of Denmark thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for helping the transit of Danish citizens from Kabul, in a tweet. She said that she is grateful to the government of Pakistan for its support and compassion.
