Washington, 18 August 2021 (TDI): The White House announced the deployment of 3500 American troops at the Hamid Karzai International Airport, yesterday. They will ensure a safe evacuation of American citizens in Kabul.
The White House notified that military flights are operational at the Kabul Airport bringing the citizens back to their homelands. 700 people were evacuated on 16 August 2021 and 150 of them were Americans. However, the US Embassy in Afghanistan has forbidden American citizens to come to the airport unless they are called by the Embassy.
