Photo exhibition on capturing unity and Faces of friendship held

Islamabad, 24 August 2024 (TDI): The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, His Excellency Mr. Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, in collaboration with Serena Hotels and Studio One under their Public Diplomacy Initiative, hosted a photographic exhibition to commemorate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. The exhibition showcased Pakistan’s vibrant cultural and natural beauty through the lenses of foreign diplomats and their spouses.

Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, and Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Atadjan Movlamov on Saturday said that today’s photo exhibition is a reflection of the foreign diplomat’s imagination about Pakistan by highlighting the cultural and tourist heritage of Pakistan.

The exhibition featured an extensive collection of photographs, each captured by the Ambassadors and Diplomats based here in Islamabad, showcasing the essence of Pakistan’s diverse landscapes, historical landmarks, and the warmth of its people.

The event was not just a celebration of Pakistan’s rich heritage but also a tribute to the enduring bonds of friendship and mutual respect between Pakistan and the global community.

Speaking at the event, H.E. Mr. Atadjan Movlamov, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, remarked, “This exhibition is a testament to the strong and durable ties between Pakistan and the international community. Through these photographs, we witness the essence of friendship and mutual respect that has been cultivated over the past 77 years. It is an honor to celebrate Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage alongside such esteemed colleagues and friends.”

The exhibition, held in honor of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, underscored the unity and shared values between Pakistan and the countries represented by the participating diplomats. Each photograph on display reflected the unique perspectives of the diplomats, highlighting the breathtaking beauty of Pakistan and the deep connections forged over decades.

Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he emphasized, “This exhibition is a powerful reminder of the deep connections and shared values that unite Pakistan with the global community. The photographs on display beautifully capture the essence of Pakistan’s landscapes and the warmth of its people, offering a unique perspective from those who have experienced our country’s hospitality.”
