Columbo, 28 March 2022 (TDI): Phool Patti, a social enterprise and entrepreneur project, recently undertook a project promoting the Truck Art of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Sri Lanka.
The High Commission for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Colombo officially gave the project to the social enterprise, Phool Patti.

Under the project, it was asked to paint and embellish a wall of size 40×8 with Pakistan’s vibrant Truck Art. The aim of doing so was to showcase the cultural heritage of not only Pakistan but Sri Lanka as well.
Phool Patti
Phool is an Urdu word that translates to Flower in English and Patti is also an Urdu word that translates to Petal in English.
This entity called, Phool Patti, is basically a Sindh, Pakistan-based Social Enterprise. Ali Salman Anchan is the Founder and Creative Director of the mentioned enterprise.
The entity aims the promotion of the vibrant and unique Pakistani Truck Art across the globe. For that matter, it does its own projects as well as takes up projects handed over to them such as the one given to them by Pakistan High Commission, Columbo, Sri Lanka.
The mesmerizing art pieces that the entity creates speak volumes for its dedication to the cause of promoting Pakistan’s beautiful culture. A few examples of projects are shown below:

Above are just a few examples of cultural diplomacy, the projects of the entity are actually a lot in number. Each one is unique and vibrant.
Pakistani Truck Art
In Pakistan, trucks are embellished as an expression of art and culture. It is a tradition to decorate these vehicles in such a manner. Vibrant colors are used to hand paint plants, animals, different shapes, and figures on the vehicle.
Not only that but pieces of literature, poetry verses, life lessons, and quotes are also seen written on the body. The artists love to play with typography, text font, styles, etc.
This sort of art is not just restricted to trucks anymore. With time it is being painted on walls, shoes, bags, frames, etc. Pakistani artists do know that the possibilities of applying this art to other products are endless.
It is relevant to mention over here that this art of Pakistan is not just nationally admired but is globally loved and admired as well.
