Beijing, 15 October 2021 (TDI): On 15th October, Chinese President Xi Jinping had a phone conversation with European Council President Michel to discuss the new changes between EU and China relations.
In the telephonic conversation, the Chinese president Xi Jinping focused on the new developments and new changes between the EU and China relations to overcome the current challenges.
As China and the EU are strong strategic partners, therefore, two main strategic sides must strengthen their mutual strategic communication for a prosperous future.
Xi Jinping said that China and the EU have different cultural histories, different social systems and different traditions but that differences should be resolved through negotiations and dialogue.
The President also mentioned that China has always been sincere in developing cooperative relations with the European Union and expected that European countries will also enhance their strategic autonomy.
On the other hand, Michel emphasized that both sides need mutual cooperation to cope with current challenges including, recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic through vaccinations, addressing climate changes, promoting economic recovery and maintaining regional stability and peace.
