Washington, 10 September 2021 (TDI): According to the briefing by the White House, the President of China, Xi Jinping, and the President of the United States, Joe Biden, had a second telephonic conversation today’s morning since the assumption of President Biden. The first phone call between the two was held in February 2021, on Chinese New Year.
The two sides exchanged views on issues of common interests for the prosperity of both nations. Expressing the importance of the two world powers, President Xi said that the development of Sino-US diplomatic relations would benefit the whole world.
During the conversation, the US side noted some key concerns for cooperation with China, including climate change. Joe Biden also emphasized that the US is willing to work on normalizing bilateral relations and respects the One-China Principle.
