Beijing, 31 August 2021 (TDI): Chinese President, Xi Jinping, had a telephonic conversation with his Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel, on Monday. Xi underscored his willingness to build socialism in Cuba. He further said that China is on its toes to help Cuba in fighting against pandemic.
The Cuban President praised the relentless support of China and its role in providing anti-pandemic supplies. Diaz-Canel acquiesced to jointly work with China in different fields. The Cuban President sent regards from Comrade Raul Castro. In response, the Chinese President asked the Cuban counterpart to convey his sincere greetings to Raul Castro.
Xi further hailed the Communist Party of Cuba on its fearless defense of revolutionary achievements. Both sides also exchanged views on multilateral and international common interests. In the last, the Cuban side stressed the willingness of Cuba to play a role in the growth of Latin America and China relations.
