Islamabad (TDI): Fahdel Sheikh, Honorary Consul General Republic of the Philippines in Punjab, has been honoured with the prestigious Global Ambassador Award 2024 in recognition of his exceptional services in diplomacy and philanthropy.
The 6th Global Ambassador Awards Ceremony 2024 was organized in Islamabad by The Diplomatic Insight, a global public diplomacy institution in Pakistan, with the presence of Ambassadors, diplomatic corps, Parliamentarians, government officials, business leaders, academics, media, and civil society members.
Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Dr. Farhat Asif, Chairperson of the Diplomatic Insight Group, welcomed distinguished guests and underscored the organization’s commitment to promoting global collaboration and diplomacy.
Fahdel Sheikh is a distinguished healthcare professional, diplomat, and philanthropist with over 20 years of impactful contributions in healthcare and humanitarian support.
An Aitchisonian, he holds an MBA and MSc in Health Services & Hospital Management, reflecting his commitment to health and social welfare.

As Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Punjab, Sheikh has strengthened Pakistan-Philippines relations through initiatives in trade, cultural exchange, and education.
He has led delegations of Pakistani pharmaceutical investors to the Philippines, established the Pakistan-Philippines Business Forum, and founded Study Philippines Consultancy, facilitating the enrollment of Pakistani medical students in Filipino institutions.
Sheikh has spearheaded numerous healthcare projects, including the Avicenna Medical and Dental Colleges, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, and School of Nursing.
His hospitals, Aadil and Avicenna, provide subsidized healthcare to underprivileged communities.

He actively supports Edhi Homes, the Rotary Club, and projects like “Dignity Three-Wheeler Bikes” for disabled individuals.
Committed to the Filipino community in Pakistan, Sheikh has organized free medical camps, facilitated the repatriation of distressed nationals, and launched Aadil Hospital’s First Aid Card program for Filipino Overseas Workers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided essential supplies to quarantined Filipino communities.
Recognized internationally, he received the 2016 Kaanib ng Bayan Presidential Award from the Philippines and was named among Pakistan’s top 100 CEOs by CEO Club Pakistan in 2024.
