Manila, 25 October 2021 (TDI): On the occasion of United Nations Day 2021, the Philippines Foreign Affairs Secretary, Teodoro Locsin has congratulated the UN on its 76th anniversary. He delivered a video message on that occasion and shared views on behalf of the government of the Philippines. Also, stated that in the modern era we have new global challenges and problems which affect people all across the world.
Foreign Affairs Secretary said that the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted all our lives and a large number of people are disabled from that disease. We have all these tools to fight against this disease but due to lack of collaborative efforts we are unable to save our people’s lives.
Furthermore, he highlighted that in the last UN high-level week, it was the world superstars BTS who have spread awareness on the sustainable development Goals (SDGs). And their message heard all across the world to raise young generations. They were representing the youngsters who would build a better and peaceful world in the future. He added that the UN country team is one of the most reliable partners in sustainable development who fight against human rights and climate change.
