Mexico City, 7 October 2021 (TDI): The Mexican Foreign Affairs Office announced the donation of 150k COVID-19 vaccines to Paraguay; on 6 October. In the quality of the country as president pro-tempore of the Community of Latin American and the Caribbean States; and also fulfilling the mandate of the Mexican President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

According to the Media note; the donation is part of the commitment of Mexico to cooperate, and sympathize with the countries of the region. The Vice-Minister of Foreign Relations of Paraguay, Marcelo Scappini; the President of Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, Félix Kanazawa; the Director of International Cooperation of the Health and Social Welfare Ministry, Cecilia Irazusta; received the vaccines.
From the part of Mexico; the Ambassador to Paraguay Juan Manuel Nungaray and Edmundo Montes de Oca Rodolfo Pastor representing the Undersecretariat for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights of the Foreign Affairs Office.

Lastly, Mexican Air Force Aircrafts transported the doses of AstraZeneca; to Paraguay. According to the Media Note; this donation also reaffirms its commitment towards the region, then to deal together with the Covid-19 pandemics, under the principle of solidarity, and brotherhood.
