ISLAMABAD, (TDI): In commemoration of World Human Rights Day, the Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH) and Meri Pehchan Pakistan Welfare Organisation, in collaboration with Aisha Lasani School, organised an impactful awareness rally.
The event aimed to raise public awareness about the significance of human rights and the urgent need to safeguard the health and well-being of all individuals, particularly those in vulnerable and underprivileged communities.
The rally began at RL Road on the Aisha Lasani School campus and was attended by a diverse group of participants, including volunteers, doctors, media professionals, community leaders, and workers.
They carried banners and placards highlighting key human rights issues such as the right to health, education, freedom of expression, and the right to live free from discrimination and violence.

Representatives from PANAH included Sanaullah Ghuman, Dr. Qayyum Awan, and former Commissioner Abdul Hafeez, while Meri Pehchan Pakistan was represented by Dr. Naveed Iqbal and Madam Shahida Naveed.
Aisha Lasani School was represented by Madam Noor and Mubashir Sahib.
PANAH, a prominent organisation focused on heart health, emphasised the vital connection between physical and mental well-being and human rights.

They called on the government to improve healthcare access, particularly for those affected by heart disease. Meri Pahaan Pakistan, which focuses on social welfare, partnered with PANAH to advocate for the rights of marginalised and vulnerable communities, stressing the importance of social justice for all.
