Islamabad, 21 February 2022 (TDI): Munich Security Conference ( MSC ) 2022 was attended by Pakistan’s National Security Adviser, Moeed Yusuf virtually. The Conference was held in Munich, Germany, from February 18 to February 20.
Yusuf Moeed mainly stressed war-torn Afghanistan and the need to help the respective country to come out of the crisis. He reiterated Pakistan’s call for the global community to allow and assist Afghans to live a better life.

Munich Security Conference 2022
Munich Security Conference abbreviated as MSC is an international forum for debate on international security. The conference is held annually since 1963.
This year’s conference i.e 2022’s conference was the 58th conference in the series. However, this year’s conference was a bit different from earlier ones.
Due to the prevalent Covid-19 pandemic, the number of guests was limited. The delegations were small as well, to make sure that the security and health of participants and Munich’s public are not at stake.

In the Conference, Chairman Munich Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger made significant remarks. He stated how the world is confronting various challenges.
The threats and dangers are increasing every day, he further added. The holding of dialogues is the need of the hour, the chairman stressed.
Key decision-makers, as well as policymakers from across the globe, graced the conference with their presence. Above thirty Heads of State and over a hundred ministers were there.
Not only that but heads of international organizations such as the United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), etc. were also present.
Key Topics discussed at the Conference
Global issues, the climate crisis, safeguarding democracy, the promotion, and utilization of technology, etc. were some topics that were discussed. Special importance was given to conflict zones during the discussions.

Lastly, the final day of the conference was dedicated to the European Union. The entity’s role in addressing the problems was discussed.
