Pakistan’s Deputy Speaker Meets Ambassador of China

Islamabad 14 October 2021 (TDI): Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri in Parliament House.

Qasim Khan Suri stated that Pakistan and China Relations are based upon mutual goals for regional and economic development.

He suggested that Pakistan could learn a lot from Chinese friends about how to overcome problems and help their people move forward.

Chinese policies were approachable and humane throughout the region and are based on mutual principles for coexistence. These views were shared today with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong.

Qasim Khan Suri further stated that Gawadar Port is an important project in CPEC. Strong bonds of mutual trading, shared interests, and the same view about the world’s issues connected Pakistan and Chinese. The inclusion and provision of basic amenities for local residents are crucial in order to fully reap the benefits of the project.

He said that CPEC would increase the region’s socioeconomic status. He also stated that Quetta is the capital of Balochistan Province and that it is essential to establish a technical institute as a symbol for Pak-China friendship.

Nong Rong, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, said that China is proud of its relations with Pakistan. Gawadar, he stated, would be the provincial model city. Work is underway to provide basic amenities such as fresh drinking water and street lighting.

He claimed that China has taught the youth the basics of the Chinese language and promised to create a Quetta-based technical institute.
