Brussels (TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the European Union Rahim Hayat Qureshi has presented a copy of his Letter of Credence to Ambassador Pierre Cartuyvels, Head of Protocol at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting heralded the beginning of Ambassador Qureshi’s diplomatic tenure in Belgium.
Both parties engaged in a vibrant exchange of perspectives, exploring their common interests.
They reaffirmed their dedication to deepening the bonds between Belgium and Pakistan, highlighting a shared vision for an enduring partnership that promises to flourish in the upcoming years.

Ambassador Qureshi reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to deepen cooperation in areas including trade, investment, development, educational and cultural exchange with Belgium
Ambassador Cartuyvels welcomed Ambassador Qureshi and expressed Belgium’s ongoing interest in enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Pakistan, highlighting the importance of continuous diplomatic engagement.
The two dignitaries acknowledged the strong basis of bilateral relations and expressed confidence in the potential for strengthened cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral levels.
Ambassador Qureshi expressed confidence that the partnership between both countries would continue to flourish through regular diplomatic engagements and constructive cooperation.

Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi is a Pakistani diplomat with an extensive diplomatic experience. He has served in various capacities in Pakistan’s Foreign Service and diplomatic missions around the world.
He previously served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea and Iran.
Throughout his career, he has held various significant positions in diplomatic missions in Paris, Rome, and New Delhi, and has also worked on matters related to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Europe, South and Southeast Asia.
His latest appointment to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the EU signifies Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the European region.
