Zurich, 16 July 2022 (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland, The Vatican, and Liechtenstein, Aamir Shouket met the Vice Chairman of the Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce, Patrick Kriesemer in Zurich.

They discussed the preparation for the first visit of the Swiss investors to Pakistan in September this year.

Pakistan’s Ambassador also discussed the establishment of the Pakistan chapter of the Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce.

The Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce

It is a private organization. It provides a platform to interested individuals, firms, institutions, and governmental organizations as a gateway between Asia and Switzerland in economic relations.

Additionally, SACC assists in developing commercial relationships in twenty-one ASEAN nations. Their activities promote the exchange of ideas and direct commercial relationships among its members, as well as between its members and governmental organizations in Asia and Switzerland.

Recent MOU between SACC and Karachi Council on Foreign Affairs

MoUs strengthen the relations between states. Pakistan’s think tank Karachi Council of Foreign Affairs signed an MoU with the Swiss Asian Chamber of commerce at the recent World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland. In addition, It will promote commercial and economic relations between Pakistan and Switzerland.

The MoU was signed by Chairman SACC Dr. Urs Lustenberger and Chairman KCFR Mr. Ikram Sehgal among a number of government officials, business leaders, and other WEF attendees.

The Memorandum would enable both organizations to work on research initiatives, as well as manage other joint operations such as conferences, dialogues, and forums to improve trade activities.

When an MoU is signed between two organizations, it brings a number of job opportunities for its people and people get benefited from it. In addition, It brings cultural exchanges, experiences exchanges, and people on both sides get to know each other.
