Washington D.C, 30 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States (US), Asad Malik, met US Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, Uzra Zeya.

The meeting marked an in-depth discussion of the US-Pakistan bilateral relations. The two officials also deliberated over regional and global issues of mutual concern. matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on prospects of enhancing the scope of relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Asad said Pakistan highly values its partnership with the United States. He further remarked that Pakistan desires to deepen ties with the US at all levels.

Likewise, the Under Secretary Uzra Zeya said the United States greatly priorities its ongoing discussion with Pakistan in domains of counter-terrorism, human rights, religious freedom, and provision of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

Both officials pledged to work together to advance common interests and shared values. They agreed to chalk out more avenues of cooperation between the two countries.
