Baku, 18 October 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Bilal Hayee congratulates Azerbaijan on its national day. Ambassador extended warm greetings and congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the Independence Day of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan declared its independence from the Soviet Union on 18th October 1991. Moreover, there are strong historical ties between the people of Baku and Islamabad. The similarities between the two countries are striking. They have a shared Persian-Turkish history. Both Pakistan and Azerbaijan are largely Muslim countries. They have similar cultural, religious, and geopolitical outlooks.
The relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan are very deep.
They are strengthening with time.
Both countries announced continued support to each other on all issues of mutual interest at the global and regional forums. The relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan continues to develop in the political, economic, and social spheres.
