Islamabad, 1 June 2023 (TDI): In a gesture of goodwill and friendship, the Government of Pakistan conveyed sincere wishes to the people and the Government of Samoa on the occasion of their 61st Independence Day. The diplomatic relations between the two nations have paved the way for continued cooperation and mutual support.
Both countries maintain bilateral ties that are rooted in their membership within the Commonwealth of Nations and the Group of 77. Over the years, these two countries have engaged with each other on various platforms, including the United Nations and other multilateral forums, to address issues of common interest.
While Samoa has a diverse religious landscape, with a small Muslim community, it is through sports and cricket that Pakistan and Samoa find common ground.
