Hong Kong (TDI): The Pakistan Booth at the Hong Kong Flower Show 2025 has won the Grand Award for Unique Features.
The colorful booth displays Pakistan’s rich culture and diverse flora, in the 10-day Flower Show that kick started in Hong Kong on Friday.
The Consulate General of Pakistan in Hong Kong made this announcement from its official account on X saying, “Our vibrant booth showcased Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.”
This is a grand annual event which attracts around 650,000 people, from which 5-10% are tourists.
Pakistan’s booth stood out among countless others from around the globe at Victoria Park, where the show has been organized.

In this year’s Flower Show, 400000 flowers are at display. “Ablaze with Glory” is the theme of the show and “cosmos” is the theme flower.
It is a a daisy-like bloom with variants in different colors and it symbolizes resilience and strength.
In addition, the show will also include floral art displays, street performances, educational as well as recreational activities.
“We hope the weather will favour us so people are willing to go out and enjoy our exhibition,” said Tina Tai Yuen-kwan, who is in charge of the show.

This year’s show underwent a 7% budget cut compared to the last year, from HK$54 million to HK$50 million.
Despite the cut, the show is attracting locals and tourists in large numbers who are happy to enjoy the setting of spring season at the Victoria Park.
Pakistan has a vast landscape when it comes to flowers and plant species. A total of 6000 species are known and recorded in the country’s flora.
In addition to specially-grown flowers, there are dozens of varieties of wild flowers as well that bloom during the spring season, including dandelion, lantana, convolvulus arvensis, thistle, and calotropis.
The national flower is Jasmine which is known worldwide for its scent.
Pattoki, a city in Pakistan’s Kasur District is called the “City of Flowers” for its huge floral diversity.
