Islamabad (TDI): Advisor to the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Misbah Khar, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, Salem Mohammed Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi, at the UAE Embassy to strengthen the longstanding ties between the two countries.
The discussions focused on expanding bilateral collaboration in areas such as investment promotion, trade, parliamentary engagement, and people-to-people connections.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to converting the historic friendship between Pakistan and the UAE into concrete economic and diplomatic outcomes.
During the meeting, Khar, who also serves as Secretary of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC), briefed the Ambassador in detail on the recent official visits undertaken by Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gillani to various countries, with particular emphasis on his significant engagements in the United Arab Emirates.
She underscored the importance of these interactions in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and expanding strategic cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
UAE Ambassador congratulated Khar on the successful organization of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference recently hosted in Pakistan and conveyed her best wishes to Chairman Senate Gilani. She commended Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote dialogue, collaboration, and institutional linkages among parliamentary leaders.

Khar also apprised the Ambassador of preparations for the upcoming Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference, highlighting its role as a vital platform for fostering mutual understanding, legislative collaboration, and multilateral engagement.
