Islamabad, 6 September 2022 (TDI): Pakistan and Turkmenistan have the potential to revolutionize the trade potential of the entire region through enhanced connectivity and strong bilateral trade ties. The trade leaders from both sides, including various structures, have urged collaboration to enhance partnerships in diverse fields.
These were the participants’ views from Pakistan and Turkmenistan during the online business meeting held between the Global Business Alliance and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan organized by the Global Business Alliance with the support from the Embassy of Turkmenistan to Pakistan.
While speaking on occasion, Asif Noor, Chairman of Global Business Alliance (GBA) said that GBA is an international Business & Trade Cooperation Networking platform for promoting bilateral and multilateral trade, business, and related services globally.
GBA offers networks of global diplomatic missions, governments, trade bodies & business enterprises to its members for result-oriented growth, partnerships, and strategic alliance from different countries.
GBA is aimed to connect by exploring the possibilities of promoting and exploring bilateral and multilateral trade, building a lasting alliance for new markets, and capitalizing on existing business by sharing business information and opportunities profitable to the members of this forum.
GBA offers a competitive advantage to the forum members to avail the opportunities for result-oriented growth, partnership, and strategic alliance with global partners from different countries.

Maral Sarygulova, Head of International Dept., Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, while speaking on occasion, explained about the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and said that the Chamber welcomes Pakistani traders and business corporations to explore the possibilities of working together in areas that can help create synergies amongst the countries and increase bilateral trade. She further highlighted various areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Agamyrat Charyev, a Member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, said that there is huge potential from both sides, and the growing market and industry in Turkmenistan is offering lucrative opportunities for Pakistani sides to explore.
Ahmad Ikram Lone, Vice Chairman GBA, and CEO of the Lone Group, has offered a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s economy and shared that apparel and textile are the backbones of Pakistan’s economy, and the cotton industry is thriving. He further said that there is huge trade potential between both sides.
While speaking on occasion, Nasir Mehmood from Belt and Road Consultants said that we need to work on the transport and freight services and devise ways to make trade smooth between the countries.
Hatem Tabani, Director of Tabaani Group, said that the oil and gas sector is an important area where Pakistan and Turkmenistan can work together and look for possibilities for exchanging expertise. He has also highlighted the significance of the TAPI project.
Many business representatives from both sides attended the meeting.
At the bilateral business meeting, the sides noted the importance of holding such consultations and expressed interest in determining further areas of mutual cooperation.
