Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan and Turkiye on Friday agreed in principle on transforming friendly relations between the two countries into business partnerships in various sectors.
This was decided during a meeting between Minister for Communications, Privatization and Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan and Turkiye Ambassador to Pakistan Erfan Neziroglu in Islamabad, a press release from the Ministry of Communications said.
“The friendly relations between Pakistan and Turkiye should be transformed into business partnerships for which there are vast investment opportunities in various sectors including Communications,” Aleem said.

The Turkish Ambassador thanked Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, assured him of all possible cooperation and indicated to adoption a workable model for bilateral investment.
Minister Abdul Aleem said Turkiye’s developmental model was highly impressive and that Pakistan could benefit from this model through the best investment options including Joint Ventures.
Aleem said he was focused on the “big challenge” of improving the road network, noting that development in any country could be possible only by connecting it with highways.
“Our job is to bring business people closer and the rest of work will start by itself, he indicated.
The minister said that companies from both countries should get the opportunity to earn attractive profits in Turkia and Pakistan.

On the occasion, Ambassador Erfan Neziroglu said the conditions between the two countries were favourable, the objectives were clear and the destination was the same.
He said his country was interested in institutionalizing business relations with Pakistan to add to the present cooperation.
The two sides deliberated upon the promotion of mutual relations and various issues of bilateral trade.
