Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding trade, investment, and connectivity with Kazakhstan, highlighting opportunities for cooperation in air, rail, and road links.
He shared these views during a meeting with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu, who is in Islamabad on his first two-day official visit, accompanied by a ministerial delegation.
The prime minister noted that Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoyed “close fraternal relations” and both sides were eager to deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
Extending warm greetings to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, whom he had recently met in China, Shehbaz said Pakistan attached high importance to the Kazakh leader’s planned visit to Islamabad later this year.
