Pakistan, Tajikistan Vow to Boost Ties

Islamabad (TDI): The Ambassador of Tajikistan, Sharifzoda Yousuf Toir, along with Deputy Head of Mission Saidjon Shafiev, met with Fahd Haroon, Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media, on Monday to discuss avenues for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including the rapidly evolving digital media landscape and mutual opportunities in business and cultural exchange.

Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in these areas to promote long-term collaboration.

Pakistan’s Initiatives to Counter Misinformation

Fahd Haroon emphasized the critical role of digital media in shaping public opinion and underscored Pakistan’s initiatives to engage with international partners on issues such as countering misinformation and bridging the digital divide.

During the discussion, both parties recognized the untapped potential for collaboration in digital media and other sectors.

They agreed to work towards fostering closer ties between the two nations.

“I look forward to continued engagement with Tajikistan and exploring new avenues for cooperation in digital media, business, and culture,” Haroon remarked following the meeting.
