Islamabad, 4 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan sends consignment of relief goods to Afghanistan. Three trucks carrying relief goods, including flour sugar, rice, and medicines, crossed the Torkham border on 3 October. The goods were received by Afghanistan’s Deputy Minister for Refugees, Arsalan Khan Kharoti. The humanitarian assistance will be delivered in various provinces of Afghanistan.
Afghanistan is at a crossroads after the U.S withdrawal from the country. It is struggling to reinstate the political, economic, and social fabric of the country. At this critical juncture, Pakistan is at the forefront of supplying humanitarian assistance to Kabul. It is committed to averting a humanitarian crisis in the country.
Moreover, Pakistan is also raising the issue of Afghanistan on international platforms. It is urging the international community to remain positively engaged with Afghanistan.
