Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Agree on Prisoner Swap, Security Cooperation

ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Interior Minister, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, in Islamabad, during which they agreed to implement the prisoner swap agreement and enhance security cooperation between the two countries.

According to state-run Radio Pakistan, both nations have also agreed to take steps toward designating Islamabad and Riyadh as “twin cities.”

The meeting focused on the deployment of regular police and paramilitary forces, as well as the training of law enforcement personnel from both sides, in line with an existing bilateral law enforcement agreement.

Military and security cooperation remains a key pillar of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship, which includes the recent deployment of troops, joint military operations, and regular training programs to improve defense capabilities.

Pakistan is also a member of the Islamic Military Alliance, led by Saudi Arabia, with the aim of combating terrorism and promoting global peace.
