Pakistan, Russia to Sign MoU for Agricultural

ISLAMABAD(TDI): On Thursday, Pakistan and Russia will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bolster agricultural cooperation and industrial development.

This agreement will focus on advancing the local agriculture sector and increasing the productivity of agricultural products in Pakistan.

During a meeting between Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Russian Ambassador Albert P. Khuriev, both parties agreed on several key initiatives.

Russia will provide technical support for modernizing Pakistan’s fertilizer manufacturing plants, aiming to boost fertilizer production and address local agricultural needs.

Pakistan, Russian to sign MoU

The discussion also highlighted a mutual commitment to enhancing trade and investment relations.

Minister Hussain expressed Pakistan’s readiness to support Russian investors and strengthen bilateral trade ties.

He emphasized the importance of modern agricultural machinery and technology transfer to improve productivity in both crops and livestock.

Furthermore, the Russian Ambassador extended an invitation for Pakistani agricultural experts to visit Russia.

This exchange aims to share knowledge and improve per-acre crop output in Pakistan. Additionally, Russia plans to supply modern agricultural machinery to further support Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
