Cairo, 14 December 2021 (TDI): Pakistan is participating in the sixth edition of Food Africa. The exhibition is taking place from 12-14 December at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre.

Pakistani Products on Display
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Sajid Bilal, inaugurated Pakistan’s Pavilion at the Exhibition earlier. The inaugural day of the exhibition was developed yesterday. The Pakistan Pavilion has been curated as such that it represents the flavors of Pakistan. The Pakistan Embassy in Egypt also marked the effort as a Pavilion representing an array of flavors and tastes of Pakistan.
The flavors on display included indigenous products from Pakistan. Furthermore, these are signature and famous Pakistani products. Including basmati rice, pink salt, spices, honey, pulses, juices, pickles, sauces, herbs, confectionery, and processed foods.
About the Food Africa Exhibition 2021
Food Africa is the African continents largest food exhibition. Moreover, its forte is exhibiting specialised food from across the world. Further, the official website of Food Africa reflecting on the event states:
“the exhibition provides a versatile and highly-targeted platform for local, regional, and international industry players to reap solid opportunities in Egypt’s whopping market and Africa’s highly demanding agro-food sector.”
This year around 250 companies belonging to the food and agriculture industries are participating in the exhibition. Moreover, approximately 22 countries are exhibiting their food staples. Along with Pakistan other countries include India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Poland, Belarus and Russia.
Earlier Engagements of Pakistan’s Embassy this Week
Earlier this week Pakistan’s Embassy in Cairo arranged a press briefing for the Egyptian Media. Ambassador Bilal spoke at the event. The briefing aimed to inform the media about the 17th Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM). The event will be held in Islamabad on 19 December 2021.
Pakistan’s ambassadors across the Muslim world have been engaging with their host countries. This to raise voice for the Afghan issue and for advocating the cause of the Extraordinary Session of OIC.
