Pakistan largest drug bust: 1,292 kg, worth $21.6 Mln

Islamabad/Quetta (TDI): In major breakthrough, Pakistan Coast Guards has seized 1,292 kilogram of drugs worth 21.6 million dollars in Balochishtan.

The success become possible after an intelligence based operation in Gwadar, Pakistan Coast Guards has stated.

This huge amount of drugs is considered a major breakthrough in the region as regional countries including Pakistan have agreed to work against human traffickers and drug smugglers considered as a threat to regional development and peace as evidences do exist as how money from smuggling was utilized for terrorism.

In October, the Guards, had seized arms and huge amount of drugs in Musa Goth area of Balochistan’s Gwdar district.

In 2020, Pakistan Coast Guards seized huge quantity of narcotics worth around Rs20 billion in Balochistan’s Pasni.

It was considered as Pakistan’s biggest drug bust of that year. The seized drugs included 751 kilograms of meth and heroin that could sell for Rs20 billion in the international market, according to officials.
