Islamabad (TDI): In a pivotal high-level meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization & Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to establish display centers aimed at promoting bilateral ties between the two nations.
It was also agreed to exhibit products of Textiles, Sports goods, Handicrafts, Surgical Equipment, Leather and Agricultural machinery.
The meeting was attended by Kazakhstan Ambassador to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Nouman Bashir Bhatti who expressed desire in establishing display centers in both countries, assuring their full cooperation for which both nations will immediately start work.
Abdul Aleem Khan, while talking at the meeting said that both sides will provide all possible facilities to the business communities under one roof on a large scale.
He said that the volume of bilateral trade with Kazakhstan will be increased by 100% in the next 3 years.
He added that instead of multiple locations, foreign investor’s needs will be met at a single, centralized location.

He added that common business strategy will be adopted for Kazakhstan and other Central Asian nations to boost trade in this region.
The minister further said that Pakistan waneds to increase its exports for Kazakhstan by 20% in one year for which Pakistan will also establish Exhibition Centers for its products in Baku, Almaty, and other cities of Central Asia.

Kazakhstan Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin thanked the minister for his strong commitment to bilateral cooperation and offered full support.
Federal Secretaries and key officials attended this high-level meeting and briefed on important departmental issues.
