Tehran, 6 November 2021 (TDI): The 9th meeting of the Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade Committee is happening in Tehran. Advisor to Pakistan’s Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, and Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, Fatemi Amin will co-chair the meeting.

The two counterparts discussed matters of Bilateral Trade and Investment issues. The two sides will also deliberate on the progress up till now after the previous meeting on Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade held in 2019 in Islamabad.
Representatives from both countries discussed matters related to Barter trade, cooperation in transportation, Free Trade Agreement, and construction of border markets. The two sides will further deliberate on issues that affect the bilateral trade between the two countries.
The two countries also signed a MoU on exhibition cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan and Iran’s cooperation is imperative for their bilateral relations. Their cooperation in fields of Trade and Investment will have an immense spillover effect in other fields which will eventually strengthen the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran.
