Pakistan, India Exchange Lists of Nuclear Installations

ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Pakistan and India exchanged lists of their nuclear installations and facilities on Wednesday under the Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installations and Facilities, the Foreign Office (FO) stated.

The agreement, signed on December 31, 1988, mandates that both nations share information about their nuclear installations and facilities annually on January 1.

In compliance with this agreement, Pakistan’s list was handed over to a representative of the Indian High Commission at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

Simultaneously, India’s list was delivered to a representative of the Pakistan High Commission by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.

The FO highlighted that since the agreement came into effect on January 27, 1991, the exchange of lists has occurred consistently every year, starting on January 1, 1992.
