RAW Behind Assassinations in Pakistan: Report

Islamabad (TDI): India’s spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) orchestrated a covert assassination campaign, fueling a wave of targeted killings in Pakistan, The Washington Post reported.

The report says that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, positioning himself as the most assertive leader since independence, is the key driving force behind the country’s actions beyond its borders.

These accusations underline a new phase in the shadow conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

One of the most notable incidents was the murder of Amir Sarfaraz, also know as “Tamba,” in Lahore in April 2023.

Sarfaraz, a former prisoner implicated in the 2011 killing of an Indian intelligence officer, was shot dead by gunmen on a motorbike.

Pakistani officials alleged that this attack bears all the hallmarks of Indian involvement.

This case is part of a broader series of murders that Pakistani officials say started escalating in 2021.

Investigations reveal a vast network allegedly orchestrated by RAW.

Intermediaries in Dubai act as coordinators, hiring local criminals or Afghan citizens and funneling payments through informal banking channels like hawala.
