Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan has sent another shipment of humanitarian assistance to Gaza, continuing its relief efforts for Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict in the enclave.
The latest consignment was dispatched on Thursday by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with the Al-Khidmat Foundation. Officials said the supplies are aimed at supporting civilians facing severe shortages of essential goods.
This marks the second relief shipment sent by Pakistan within a week. Earlier, on Monday, the country had dispatched what officials described as its 28th aid consignment since the crisis began.
Pakistan’s first batch of humanitarian supplies, including medicines and tents, was sent on October 19, 2023, shortly after Israeli military operations in Gaza intensified.

The newest cargo was transported via a chartered flight departing from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore to Al-Arish Airport in Egypt. From there, the assistance will be delivered onward into Gaza.
Israel, which maintains control over access points to the territory, has denied allegations that it is blocking humanitarian supplies intended for Gaza’s roughly two million residents.

According to Gaza’s health authorities, more than 71,000 Palestinians have been killed since the start of Israel’s military campaign. The conflict has displaced the majority of the population and caused widespread destruction across the territory.
The humanitarian situation has drawn strong international criticism. Organisations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, along with several independent experts, have described Israel’s actions as amounting to genocide, an accusation that Israeli officials firmly reject.
