Islamabad, 23 July 2022 (TDI): The Government of Pakistan shares its felicitation on the occasion of Egypt Revolution Day for the people and government of Egypt.

Egypt Revolution Day

The Egypt revolution Day is celebrated every year on 23rd July across  Egypt with national fervor and enthusiasm. This special day is celebrated as the anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. This day is called the declaration of the modern Republic of Egypt and the end of the Kingdom of Egypt.

Those momentous historical events led to the development and formation of the new Egyptian modern state that the world has witnessed thriving with its full blossom.

Egypt’s revolution day is observed as a public holiday across Egypt. In addition, large and elaborate celebrations, including military parades and televised concerts with heavily nationalistic themes, characterize the public holiday itself.

In conclusion, the People Of Egypt celebrate it by displaying flags in their homes and by performing cake-cutting ceremonies on this momentous occasion for them.

Pakistan-Egypt Bilateral Ties

The bilateral ties between Pakistan and the Arab Republic of Egypt date back to 1948. Pakistan and Egypt enjoy warm diplomatic ties and have strong relations in a number of fields.

Egypt plays an important role in Pakistan’s Engage Africa Initiative. Both countries are founded on a predominantly Muslim population. The people of both sides are based on centuries of religious, cultural, and commercial ties.

Both countries are a member of the Islamic Corporation Organization. The Foreign Minister of Egypt lastly visited Pakistan during the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in March 2022.

Egypt maintains an embassy in Islamabad, while Pakistan maintains an embassy in Cairo. Pakistan and Egypt are both designated Major Non-NATO allies, which grants them access to certain levels of US hardware and surplus military equipment.

The Bilateral trade between Pakistan and Egypt is enhanced. In addition, Egypt imports a variety of goods from Pakistan. This import includes products of woven cotton, surgical instruments, Fabrics, Medicament, cotton yarn, and Polymers of polystyrene.
