Niamey (TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan to Niger, Dr Ahmed Ali Sirohey, has been honoured with the highest civilian award by the Niger government.
The award ceremony was held at Niger’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, where Dr Sirohey was conferred the highest civilian award, the “Commander of the Order of Merit”.

Niger Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Keeper of the Seals, chaired the ceremony and presented the award on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to a press release, the award was conferred in honour of Dr Sirohey’s exceptional contributions toward strengthening bilateral relations and fostering cooperation between the two countries.

“The award highlights the appreciation for his dedicated service in enhancing diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between the two nations,” it said.
The event was attended by senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and dignitaries, reflecting the significance of this achievement and the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Niger.
