Washington (TDI): The Pakistan Embassy in Washington, United States, marked Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 by hosting a seminar entitled “Longstanding, Unresolved, and Unfinished Agenda: Important Aspects of the Kashmir Dispute.”
The event highlighted legal aspects of UNSC resolutions on Kashmir, significance of international mediation to ensure a peaceful resolution of the dispute and normalization of Pakistan-India ties in the interest of regional and global regional peace.
The two-session event was attended by a diverse audience significantly composed of students from Universities in Washington DC.
The panel comprised international law experts Ali Unar, Arif Hyder Ali and Mowahid Hussain Shah.

Other speakers included Dr. Zulfiqar Kazmi-Founder of The CommonGrounds USA, Ambassador Touqir Hussain-Adjunct Professor George Town University, and Lars Rise-Former Norwegian MP.

Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh delivered the concluding remarks highlighting value addition to the Kashmir cause in terms of the important points raised by different speakers at the Seminar.
