Paris, 7 February 2023 (TDI): An event commemorating Kashmir Solidarity Day was organized by the Pakistani Embassy in Paris. A sizable number of members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities attended.

On this occasion, messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister were read out, and a documentary was shown that focused on the atrocities committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Speaking on behalf of the people of IIOJK, speakers denounced the violations of human rights by the Indian occupation forces.

They urged the UN and the international community to take action to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the pertinent UNSC resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

In his remarks to the audience, the Ambassador of Pakistan to France, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad praised the Kashmiri people for their dedication to and sacrifice on behalf of their just cause of achieving self-determination.

The entire Pakistani nation supports its Kashmiri brothers and sisters, and we firmly believe that one day the people of Kashmir will be able to secure freedom from Indian military oppression and illegal occupation.

He recognized the important role that the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities in France were playing in advancing the cause of Kashmir.

In addition, the Chancery also featured a display of images and artwork highlighting the atrocities carried out by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK.

Members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities later took part in a protest march from the Gare de l’Est to the Place de la Republique, where speakers and demonstrators held banners and placards highlighting the Kashmir dispute.
