Rotterdam, 22 August 2022 (TDI): The three-match ODI series between cricket teams of Pakistan and the Netherlands concluded on August 21. Pakistan won all three ODIs and whitewashed the Netherlands.

This was the first time that both these teams played against each other in a bilateral series. The series was a part of Cricket World Cup Super League.

Pakistan won the first ODI by 16 runs and the second ODI by 7 wickets. The third ODI was a nail-biter.

Third One Day International

Pakistan made four changes to their team for the last ODI. Imam ul Haq, Muhammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf were rested and Abdullah Shafique, Muhammad Haris, Shahnawaz Dahani and Zahid Mahmood were selected for the last match.

Netherlands also made two changes in their team for the last match. Wesley Barresi and Tim Pringle were rested. Musa Ahmad and Shariz Ahmed were their replacements.

The third and last ODI between Pakistan and the Netherlands was a low-scoring match and came down to the wire.

Pakistan cricket team was all out for 206 runs in the last over of the innings. Babar Azam played a great inning of 91 under pressure. Bas de Leede took 3 wickets for 52 runs and Vivian Kingma took 2 wickets for 15 runs.

In response, the Netherlands cricket team did not have a great start and lost 3 early wickets. After that, there was a great partnership of 71 runs between Tom Cooper and Vikramjeet Singh when Vikramjeet was caught behind.

This was the turning point of the match and the Netherlands did not get stable after that and was eventually bowled out by Pakistan for 197 runs in the last over.

Naseem Shah took 5 wickets for 33 runs and was declared Player of the Match. Muhammad Waseem took 4 wickets.
