Rawalpindi, 1 August 2022: 95th Anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Peoples’ Liberation Army (PLA) was commemorated at GHQ, Rawalpindi, on Monday.
The Pakistan Army hosted the event. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Nong Rong, the officials from the Chinese Embassy & Officers from the tri-services of Pakistan attended the event.
On occasion, the Ambassador of China thanked COAS for hosting the reception on the eve of PLA’s 95th Anniversary.
The Chinese Ambassador said that China & Pakistan are iron brothers, all-weather friends & strategic partners.
The Ambassador also noted that the recent meeting of China-Pakistan Joint Committee of Cooperation held in China has set up an important platform for military collaborations, which will serve effectively for military-to-military relations between the two countries.

The Army Chief felicitated the People’s Liberation Army and lauded its role in China’s defense, security & nation-building.
While highlighting the various facets of the deep-rooted ties between the two states, militaries, and the people, COAS said the Pakistan-China relationship is unique & robust, proving its resilience in the face of challenges.
Furthermore, the Army Chief said PLA and Pakistan Army are brothers in arms & our relationship will continue to contribute towards safeguarding our collective interests, COAS concluded.
China-Pakistan military ties:
The development of bilateral relations between China and Pakistan has been significantly influenced by the military-to-military ties that have long served as the floor of the friendship between China and Pakistan.
In areas including high-level meetings, joint training and exercises, anti-epidemic cooperation, and equipment technology, the two armies have produced productive outcomes, continuously enhancing the meaning of bilateral strategic cooperation.
In March, China’s Ministry of National Defense spokesperson, Colonel Wu Qian, said that the Chinese and Pakistani military are prepared to take their practical collaboration in several areas to a new level and give their all-weather strategic cooperative relationship a new push.
