Karachi, 23 September 2022 (TDI): Pakistan cricket team beat England by 10 wickets in the 2nd match of the 7-match T20 International (T20I) series on 22 September in Karachi and leveled the series 1-1.

England won the toss and elected to bat first in the 2nd T20I. England openers played quite well and gave a good start to the team.

Playing XI of both teams

Pakistan played with Babar Azam (C), Muhammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Nawaz, Usman Qadir, Haris Rauf, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Muhammad Hasnain.

England team included Moeen Ali (C), Phil Salt, Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, David Willey, Luke Wood, Adil Rashid, and Liam Dawson.

England played good cricket and the openers gave a good start. Then, in the 5th over, Shahnawaz Dahani took 2 wickets on the first 2 balls of the 6th over. The score was 42 runs at that time.

Ben Duckett and Harry Brook played well and made some quick runs. They made 43 off 22 and 31 off 19 balls respectively. But the England captain played brilliantly.

He played a great knock and made 55 crucial runs for his team on just 23 balls. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Shahnawaz Dahani took 2 wickets each. England scored 199 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, Pakistani openers did not let the bowlers settle and smashed them all over the park. Pakistan reached the target on the 3rd ball of the last over with 10 wickets in hand.

Babar Azam scored his 2nd T20I century. He scored 110 runs off just 66 balls and his opening partner Muhammad Rizwan made 88 off 51 balls.

They made the highest-ever partnership for Pakistan in T20Is. Babar Azam was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant innings. This was also the highest successful run chase in T20Is without losing a single wicket.
