Lahore, (TDI): Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, has underscored the significance of enhancing trade and bilateral relations between the two nations.
During a recent visit to Lahore, the ambassador engaged with Punjab Governor Salim Haider Khan and other senior officials to discuss strategies for reinforcing trade ties and fostering deeper cooperation.
Governor Khan praised the ambassador’s efforts in facilitating direct flights between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, which are expected to promote mutual exports and attract investments.

He also highlighted the various investment opportunities available in Pakistan.
MOUs to Strengthen Cooperation
In July, during a state visit to Pakistan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his Pakistani counterpart signed 15 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening cooperation in diverse sectors, including tourism, air services, trade, science and technology, and cultural exchanges.
The introduction of direct flights by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Pakistan International Airlines between Baku, Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore has opened new avenues for tourism and trade, further solidifying the partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
