Pakistan and Argentina celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations.

Buenos Aires, 29 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan Embassy Argentina, briefed about the important meeting that took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Worship in Argentina.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Argentina, Dr. Muhammad Khalid Ejaz, met Argentina’s Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero, Secretary of International Economic Relations Cecilia Todesca Bocco, and Counsellor Shafi Awan.

The Pakistani Ambassador presented a souvenir on behalf of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to the Foreign Minister of Argentina, along with a book titled, ‘Beyond the wave’.

The souvenir was an acknowledgement of friendship among the two states. Both the states expressed gratitude over the seventy years of strong friendship and diplomatic relations. Both sides complimented each others’ efforts in different areas of economic and political growth.

The Ambassador of Pakistan briefed Shafi Awan on Pakistan’s billion tree project and reckoned how much international attention and appreciation it has received.

The officials discussed their plans to further enhance their friendship and about their growth in different areas such as food, pharmaceutical and enhancing bilateral trade. Moreover, both sides discussed taking up new projects that would involve agriculture and forestry.

Ambassador Ejaz appreciated Argentina’s commitment to the South-South Project as well as its role in the United Nations Military Observation Group (UNMOG).
