Karachi (TDI): Pakistan Travel Mart, the country’s largest international travel and tourism exhibition, opened on Friday at the Karachi Expo Centre and will continue until Sunday, attracting global tourism boards, airlines, hotels, tour operators and technology providers.
The fifth edition of the event runs under the theme “Shaping the Future of Travel: Innovation, Sustainability and Global Connectivity.”
Organized through a strong public-private partnership, the expo serves as a major platform to showcase Pakistan’s growing tourism potential and connect international stakeholders with local industry players.
Major Highlights of the Expo
The three-day gathering features specialized districts that cater to diverse segments of the travel industry. These include:
- Global Aviation District
- Global Destinations District
- Technology and Travel District with its dedicated Innovation Zone Start-up Pitch Deck sessions
- Hospitality District
- Salam Pakistan pavilion, that highlights offerings from provincial tourism boards and domestic operators.
A high-level Sustainable Destinations Forum is also running, focusing on responsible tourism practices and environmental conservation.
International participation remains strong with tourism boards and key stakeholders from Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and several Central Asian and African nations including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Rwanda and Ethiopia.
The presence of UN Tourism further elevates the expo’s global profile and underscores Pakistan’s commitment to aligning with worldwide tourism standards.

Business Opportunities, Roadshows
A dedicated B2B Roadshow will follow the Karachi event in Islamabad on April 7 and 8 at the Mövenpick Hotel, extending networking and deal-making opportunities across the country.
Business lounges provide premium spaces for one-on-one meetings, while the live PTM Podcast broadcasts directly from the expo floor to engage both trade professionals and travel enthusiasts.
The event also offers special packages, destination promotions, and partnership announcements designed to boost inbound tourism. Visitors can explore interactive pavilions, attend panel discussions on emerging trends, and discover new routes and experiences that position Pakistan as a competitive destination in South Asia.
