Islamabad (TDI): Saudi Arabia’s delegation led by Chairman Saudi Shura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh today visited the Parliament House, Islamabad on Wednesday.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq welcomed the delegation, a statement said.
The two sides exchanged views on strengthening parliamentary and economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman Saudi Shura Council thanked the Speaker and Members of the National Assembly for according him and his delegation warm welcome.
He said Pakistan is an important country of the Islamic World and Saudi Arabia desires of a prosperous and developed Pakistan.

He also expressed his country’s wish to strengthen parliamentary and economic relations with Pakistan.
He also stressed the need to further cement parliamentary linkages between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council also met with Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and emphasised the need to further enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
A day earlier, the Saudi delegation was warmly received by the Speaker National Assembly on its arrival at Islamabad Airport.
Saudi Arabia’s Delegation in Pakistan
On the occasion, expressing delight over the visit, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that Pakistan holds its long-standing brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia in the highest regard.
He emphasized that both countries have stood by each other through every challenging time. The Speaker further expressed confidence that the visit of the Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council will serve as a milestone in promoting bilateral parliamentary relations.

In response, Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh conveyed his pleasure at visiting Pakistan and expressed gratitude to the Speaker of the National Assembly for the warm welcome. He shared that he has always received sincerity and love from the people during every visit to Pakistan.
Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The Saudi Delegation also met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and held important discussion.
