Pakistan Railways signed an agreement with M/s Easyway and M/s Norinco to implement Railway Automated Booking and Travel Assistance (RABTA)

Islamabad, 13 November 2021 (TDI): Federal Minister for Railways, Azam Khan Swati engaged facilitated an agreement to Implement Railway Automated Booking and Travel Assistance (RABTA).

The Agreement of Implementing Railway Automated Booking and Travel Assistance (RABTA) is a joint venture. Pakistan Railway signed the agreement with M/s EasyWay and M/s Norinco. Director IT of Pakistan Railways, Azam Ghafoor, and Mr. Zhidan Wu from M/s Easyway signed the agreement.

This project materialized as per the vision of the Federal Minister for railways. The project will enhance the efficiency of the Railways by using advanced technology.

Secretary of the Ministry of Railways lauded this achievement and expressed gratitude to the Chinese counterpart for their cooperation. The project is a beneficial development for Pakistan as it will incur zero cost to Pakistan and will progress Customer Relationship Management in the public sector. This project is a step towards technological advancement in the infrastructure of the public sector. This project will employ Artificial intelligence.

The project will facilitate customers by letting customers plan and book door-to-door journeys. The interface is developed to facilitate customers to let customers choose seats, purchase tickets, book hotels, check train status, and order car rental, and meals.

Railway Automated Booking and Travel Assistance (RABTA) is a collaboration between the private and public sectors. It is all set to execute for 10 years under the mode of Build-Operate-Transfer. This IT-based Project will be Pakistan’s one of largest projects.
