Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah, exchanging warm greetings on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr and reaffirming the strong historic ties between Pakistan and Kuwait.
During the conversation, both leaders extended their best wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the peoples of Pakistan and Kuwait, as well as to the wider Muslim Ummah.
The Prime Minister also conveyed his respectful regards to the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, highlighting the enduring friendship between the two nations.
In a solemn statement, Prime Minister Sharif condemned in the strongest terms the recent attacks in Kuwait, expressing deep condolences over the loss of lives and praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
“Pakistan stands in full solidarity with our brotherly friends in Kuwait during these difficult times,” he said, stressing the importance of regional cooperation to uphold peace, stability, and the resolution of disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
The conversation also highlighted the long-standing fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait, with both leaders emphasizing mutual respect, cooperation, and shared interests in regional security and development.
Prime Minister Sharif reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience, reflecting Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening bilateral engagement.
Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact and continue regular dialogue, reinforcing the spirit of partnership and friendship. Analysts note that such high-level exchanges underscore Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts in the Gulf region, particularly in promoting stability, countering extremism, and expanding economic and cultural ties.
